PROJECT DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Amador County Department of Transportation and Public Works ("County") requests proposals from qualified firms to provide engineering and design services for Rabbit Creek Causeway Culvert Repair Project - Phase II Culvert Replacement. The general scope of services includes developing and engineering a culvert replacement plan that utilizes a trenchless technology method to install approximately 300 feet of culvert pipe with a minimum diameter of 48 inches. The culvert installation will occur 50 to 60 feet below a roadway embankment composed of engineered fill material. It is anticipated that one firm (with sub-consultants if needed) will be selected to perform the services required by this RFP in collaboration with Amador County Department of Transportation and Public Works and East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD). Design services will need to be completed by mid-July 2014. The project is located on the north side of Camanche Reservoir.
Specialized technical design qualifications including; large pipe diameter installation utilizing trenchless technology, geotechnical experience, localized dewatering and large mobile pumping (10,000 gpm +) experience are among the qualifications required to complete this project.

Sealed proposals will be received by the County of Amador Purchasing Office; by U.S. Mail at 12200 B Airport Road, Jackson, CA 95642-9527; by U.P.S., Federal Express, or by other courier to 12200 B Airport Road, Martell, CA; 95654, until 1:30 PM, Thursday, March 27, 2014, at which time sealed proposals will be opened and read in the office of the Director of General Services Administration, located at the above Martell address. Proposals received late, will be rejected and returned unopened. Telegraph, Facsimile (FAX) and E-Mail proposals will not be considered.
