The internet offers many resources for air quality information, even some specific to Amador County.  Here are some web sites that the Amador Air District uses and would like to share with you.

CARB Air Quality Fundamentals
The California Air Resources Board (CARB), with support from the California Air Pollution Control Officers Association (CAPCOA), have developed a video series focusing on agency roles, emission types, and health effects of air pollution. Additional videos covering topics such as emissions sources, measurement and control, safe air quality standards, and community action tips, will be available in early 2024.

California Air Pollution Control Officers Association (CAPCOA)
The California Air Pollution Control Officers Association is a non-profit association of the Air Pollution Control Officers from all 35 local air quality agencies throughout California. CAPCOA was formed in 1975 to promote clean air and to provide a forum for sharing of knowledge, experience, and information among the air quality regulatory agencies across the State and the Nation. The Association promotes unity and efficiency, and strives to encourage consistency in methods and practices of air pollution control. It is an organization of air quality professionals — leaders in their field.

Burn Wise Program
This webpage includes basic information about the relationship between residential wood smoke and COVID -19, links to information that will help the public know the difference between symptoms from smoke exposure and COVID-19, and steps to take to reduce exposure of wood smoke.

This web site provides California state air quality standards, maps showing which areas of the state meet the standards and a table of air pollution sources, health effects and controls.

American Lung Association
The American Lung Association web site offers information and Sacramento area healthy activities to promote cleaner air.
