Amador County Behavioral Health Advisory Board Agenda

Mental Health and Alcohol & Drug

The Amador County Behavioral Health Department supports the overall health and well-being of clients with serious mental illness, emotional disturbances, and substance use disorders.  The department is dedicated to quality and effective treatment.

Behavioral Health provides integrated recovery-oriented mental health and substance use disorder services.  We also support a wellness center to meet the needs of unserved and underserved populations.

Substance Use Disorder services are available.  We support a community cooperation approach, which provides alcohol/drug free alternative activities for youth including Friday Night Live/Club Live peer leadership.

Mental Health services are designed to provide strong community-based partnerships with individuals and families who are dealing with serious mental illness, including those who have co-occurring disorders (mental health and substance use disorder).  Recovery-oriented services include assistance with establishing stable housing, access to physical health care, medication management, trauma-informed counseling and peer supports.  Behavioral Health assists with management of mental health crises for all members of the community and arranges for inpatient or temporary residential care as appropriate.

We offer services in English and non-English. Please call our office to request information or services.
