Weekly Pre-School Story Time for Children ages 0-5 and their Caregivers

Main Library Jackson: Story Time at the Main Library in Jackson is offered Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.

Ione Branch: Story Time at the Ione Branch Library is offered Mondays at 10 a.m.

Plymouth Branch: Story Time at the Plymouth Branch Library is offered Thursdays at 12:30 p.m.

Children's Literacy Workstations

The Early Literacy Workstations are computers loaded with more than 45 educational software titles for children ages 2-10. The workstations offer children a safe, standalone computer not connected to the Internet. Content is age appropriate, engaging, and academically relevant for children.

The English-Only Early Literacy station was purchased for the library by the Friends of the Amador County Library. A Second English and Spanish Early Literacy workstation was also purchased for the library by the Friends of the Library and the Sutter Creek Woman's Club.

The workstations are available at the Main Library in Jackson. One English-Only Early Literacy station is also available at the Plymouth Branch. We encourage parents or caregivers to work together with their children to assist them in the seven curricular areas of reading, math, science, social studies, writing, arts & music, and reference.
