Welcome to the Amador County Library!

It is the mission of the Amador County Library to be the community’s center for lifelong learning -- providing materials, services and programming to meet the personal, educational and professional needs of its residents from pre-school through adulthood.

Your library card provides full service to the collections of the main library and its four branches.

Inter-library Loan is now LINK+

Don't find what you are looking for in our catalog? You can request items from other libraries through LINK+.  LINK+ is a free service providing books, audiobooks, DVDs and music CDs to its more than 70 participating libraries.

 

Mining Collection

The library houses a special mining collection as well as newspapers dating back to the mid 1800's. For a complete list of the newspapers available click here. You can access our digital collection of Historic County Newspapers here.

All items must remain in the library. Library staff will be happy to assist you.

 

Legal Research

Law LibraryAmador County Library is a California County Public Law Library. If you are looking for information pertaining to a certain law, legal case, or a legal form, the Amador County Law collection may be a good place to start. The Law Library provides free access to CEB and LEXIS.

 

Books at Home Delivery
Books at Home (BAH) is a free outreach service provided by the Amador County Library. Volunteers deliver library materials to home confined individuals. The service is available to all Amador County Residents who are unable to get to the library due to illness, age, infirmity or disability.
