"Risk Management endeavors to recommend appropriate insurance protection to protect county assets, provide workers' compensation claims services with integrity and respect to the injured worker, and promote a safe working environment through programs and training."

Risk Management Mission Statement

The Office of Risk Management is responsible for the prevention and evaluation of losses for Amador County, to obtain the most cost effective insurance coverage that is currently available.

Coverage includes many programs, examples are:

  • Liability
  • Property
  • Watercraft
  • Employee Medical
  • Workers' Compensation

Cost containment is accomplished through on-going training; participation in Cal/OSHA required programs; consultation on county wide Safety practices; Claim monitoring; individual assistance to contractors/Vendors for the County and individual assistance to County employees.
