Our online permit portal offers residents a way to apply digitally. Keep the following in mind if you plan on applying via the online Permit Portal:
1. Please have any information ready prior to starting an application. For guidance on the requirements for the encroachment application, see our Permit Applications & Forms page here.
2. You will be required to login or create an account with your email address. Communications with you will be done via email.
3. The website will save periodically. Be careful if you decide to close the browser as new changes may not be saved. There is a “save” button at the bottom of the page.
4. You will be required to review documents and agree to their content. These documents may be printed should you so desire.
5. You will be invoiced when permit is ready to issue. Online Payment is available via credit card.
Please be patient while the application is being processed. Applications may take 2 to 4 days before you receive feedback. Upon submission, an email confirmation will be sent to your email address.
We are still accepting paper applications in person through the Public Works Office located at 810 Court St. in Jackson, CA 95642 or by mail. If you have any questions or concerns, we can be contacted via phone at (209) 223-6429 or by email at publicworks@amadorgov.org
