 Property Tax Calendar




January 1 Lien Date. The date taxable value is established and property taxes become a lien on the property for the upcoming fiscal year. Unsecured property taxes are due.
July 1 Beginning of Amador County’s fiscal year.
July Unsecured property tax bills are mailed. Unsecured tax bills are payable upon mailing.
August 31 Unsecured taxes are delinquent and subject to penalties after this date.
September Secured property tax bills are mailed.
October 31 Additional penalties accrue to unpaid delinquent unsecured taxes after this date.
November 1 First installment of secured property taxes is due.
December 10 First installment of secured property taxes is delinquent and subject to penalties after this date.
February 1 Second installment of secured property taxes is due.
April 10 Second installment of secured property taxes is delinquent and subject to penalties and costs after this date.
May Delinquent notices for secured property taxes are mailed.
June 30 End of Amador County’s fiscal year.
July 1 Delinquent secured property tax amounts are transferred to the delinquent tax roll and additional penalties, costs and fees accrue.
