Welcome to CalFresh Healthy Living (SNAP-Ed)
VISION: A California where everyone is healthy, active and nourished.
CalFresh Healthy Living, federally known as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP-Ed), is the largest nutrition education program in the United States. More than one-third of California residents are eligible for CalFresh Healthy Living. California’s CalFresh Healthy Living program strives to improve the health of eligible Californians through education and healthy community changes.
Amador County Public Health provides nutrition education including; fun physical activities, taste testing of healthy recipes, sensory activities with fruits and vegetables, and gardening promotion in our local state preschools and income eligible elementary schools.
