For more information about becoming a disaster volunteer, please contact the disaster staffing coordinator, fgutierrez@amadorgov.org . He will walk you through the Amador County Disaster Healthcare Volunteer sign-up process.

Disaster Volunteers Needed

If disaster strikes our county, you can make a difference by being part of the disaster response team. Local medical and non-medical volunteers are needed to form an Amador response unit. Serving Amador communities during a disaster and helping your neighbors can be an exciting and rewarding experience.

For Healthcare Professionals

Your expertise is needed in the event of a significant disaster or public health emergency. Once you have registered on our secure website, your credentials will be validated — before an emergency — so that you can be deployed quickly and efficiently.

For Non-Healthcare Volunteers

Disaster response requires volunteers with many skills. It is not necessary to have healthcare experience to become a volunteer. When you register, simply select non-medical volunteer from the pull-down menu.

Enroll Online Disaster Volunteer LOGO

To enroll online, click the Volunteer button to the right or log onto www.healthcarevolunteers.ca.gov.

Once online, select Responder for your role, and Amador County Unit for your affiliation. Our website is secure, and information can be viewed only by authorized system managers.

Should an emergency occur, you will be contacted and will have the opportunity to accept or decline the assignment.
