NOTICE TO BIDDERS 

AMADOR COUNTY SEALED BID No. Obstruction Mitigation

FAA AIP PROJECT No. 3-06-0111-16

 

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: Sealed bids shall be received by the County of Amador Purchasing Office; by U.S. Mail at 12200-B Airport Road, Jackson, CA. 95642; or delivered in person, U.P.S., Federal Express, or by any other means to 12200-B Airport Road, Martell, CA 95654, until 1:30 PM, Thursday, April 24, 2014, at which time sealed bids will be opened and read publicly at the General Services Administration located at the above Martell address. Bids received late will be rejected and returned unopened.

 

Bid information and documents for the entire project (Bid, Contract Specifications, Drawings and all Contract Documents) are available for examination at County of Amador Purchasing Office 12200-B Airport Road, Martell, CA 95654, telephone (209) 223-6375 or register as a bidder on our Public Purchase website  http://www.publicpurchase.com/amadorco,ca and download the bid.

 

All bids must be submitted on the Bid Form obtained from the County of Amador and shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty of at least five percent (5%) of the total base bid, in the form of cash, a certified or cashier’s check payable to the County, or a Bid Bond. Failure of the successful Bidder to execute and return the Contract or to file acceptable Bonds, as required, within the time allotted shall be cause for the annulment of the award and forfeiture of the Bid Guaranty.

 

A non-mandatory pre-bid conference is to be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the Amador County Airport Manager's office located at 12380 Airport Road, Martell, California.  At this meeting, questions concern­ing the Contract Documents, Construction Plans, or proposed work will be discussed and a tour of the job site conducted.  Answers and clarifications to significant issues and/or questions will be distributed subsequently in the form of written addenda to the Contract Documents.

This construction is being undertaken with financial assistance from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and is subject to all Airport Improvement Program (AIP) labor, non-discrimination, prevailing wage rates, and other Federal requirements.   

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: 

The work consists of trimming and removing trees on two private properties, one being east of the runway and one north of the runway.  The trimming will comply with 14 CFR Part 77 requirements.  

Note:  Bids are required for the entire work as described above.  Award of Contract, if awarded, shall be based on budget require­ments and shall be to the lowest qualified Bidder based on the base bid only. County reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
