PROJECT DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Amador County Department of Transportation and Public Works (County) is seeking technical proposals for construction engineering services for the preparation, execution, and completion of work outlined in this Request for Proposal (RFP). The selected Consultant will provide these services to assist the County with the Bunker Hill Road Bridge Replacement Project (Project). The general scope of services will include, but is not limited to the following:
- Performing and assisting in performing the duties of an Assistant Resident Engineer, including construction inspection, quantity calculations, checking grade and alignment, safeguard, and assure compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Performing, reviewing and analyzing Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules, Generating, reviewing and analyzing Construction Contractor's performance and reports with respect to time, resource, and cost.
- Identifying actual and potential problems associated with the construction project and recommending sound engineering solutions.
- Maintaining as awareness of safety and health requirements and assuring compliance of applicable regulations and contract provisions for the protection of the public and construction project personnel.
- Preparing calculations, records, reports, and correspondence related to construction project activities.
- Assisting in the preparation of final As-Built plans at the completion of construction.
- Storm Water Pollution Plan.
- Developing safety procedures
- Materials testing
- Biological/Environmental Services
- Other services as required to complete the Project
This is a Federal-Aid Project subject to Caltrans Local Assistance Procedures and other Caltrans requirements. All Deliverables, Reports, and Work Products shall be prepared and completed in accordance with Local, State, and Federal standards, where applicable.
The County of Amador affirms that in any federally funded contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises (DBEs) will be afforded full opportunity to submit proposals. The DBE goal for this project is 15%.
Qualified responders may acquire a proposal package at the office of General Services Administration located at 12200 B Airport Road, Martell, CA.
Sealed proposals will be received by the County of Amador Purchasing Office; by U.S. Mail at 12200 B Airport Road, Jackson, CA 95642-9527; by U.P.S., Federal Express, or by other courier to 12200 B Airport Road, Martell, CA; 95654, until 1:30 PM, Thursday, May 12, 2016, at which time sealed proposals will be opened and read in the office of the Director of General Services Administration, located at the above Martell address. Proposals received late, will be rejected and returned unopened. Telegraph, Facsimile (FAX) and E-Mail proposals will not be considered.
