Amador County Elections will be hosting two workshops on January 15, 2020 in the Board of Supervisors Chambers.

First, a workshop for voters needing accessibility will be held at 5:30 p.m. and we will be discussing the accessibility options available for voters. Topics will include our new voter assistance ballot marking devices to enable visually impaired voters to vote independently at vote centers, and remote accessible vote-by-mail. Voters needing accessibility, and people who work with accessibility advocacy groups are encouraged to attend. The workshop will last approximately an hour.

Second, a workshop for voters for whom English is a second language will be held at 6:30 p.m. The Elections office will be discussing facsimile language reference ballots, our new toll free number for Spanish speaking voters, and our new video translation service that can provide translations in up to 200 languages at all of our vote centers. Voters and representatives of minority language communities are encouraged to attend. Workshop will last approximately an hour.

If anyone would like Amador County elections to hold a private workshop for their accessibility or language minority group, call our office at 209-223-6465.
