Your library card provides full service to the Amador County Library, which includes the main library and its four branches. Find books, magazines, DVD's, audio and e-books, CDs, Internet access, online resources, newspapers, a copy machine and printer, and more...

Loan Periods and Limits:

New Books
4 item limit, 3 week loan
No renewal if new item is being held for another patron.

All Other Books, Magazines, Audiobooks, Music CDs
DVDs:  3 per checkout, 3 week loan   
Audiobooks:  4
 item limit, 3 week loan

Items may be renewed unless they are being held for another patron.

Overdue Charges:
All Books, Magazines, Audiobooks, Music CDs: $.10 per day
DVDs: $1 per day

Maximum overdue charge is $10 per item

Lost card replacement fee is $1

Materials may be borrowed and returned at the main library or any of its four branches.
Materials may be renewed in person, online or by phone.

How do I obtain a library card?
To obtain a library card please provide a picture ID and proof of address, such as a piece of mail, bank statement, bill or rent receipt.  A library card will be issued on the same day you apply. There is a two item limit on your first visit.
