NOTICE TO BUYERS OF WOOD FOR FUEL PURPOSES

To insure buying full-measure wood, the following suggestions are offered:

1. When buying wood, check with friends and neighbors to see if the dealer has a good reputation.
2. Purchase wood in cord units or fractions thereof; do not buy wood by the load.
3. When delivery of the wood is made, inspect the wood before it is unloaded to see if it meets the specifications you ordered.
4. If it is stacked on the delivery truck, measure the wood before it is unloaded.  If it is delivered on a pickup truck , remember to discount the areas taken up by the fender wells.  (A CORD OF WOOD IS 128 CU. FT. WELL-STOWED.)
5. Never pay for more wood than is present.  Always ask for a sales invoice, delivery ticket or receipt.
